Solve Planning have successfully appealed a scheme for nine houses and a new, purpose-built building for the Chobham Club in Surrey Heath.
The Chobham Club has been working since 2015 to find a way of providing such accommodation to secure its future with its current premises in a very poor state of repair and at the end of their useful life.
In 2019 the Club appointed Cleanslate, a local developer, to assist with its plans and to take a fresh look at the project.
Working with Cleanslate and OSP architects we submitted an application for a combined scheme providing the nine houses alongside the new Club House. Whilst this received a positive recommendation from Officers, unfortunately the application was refused at Committee.
The Appeal decision is therefore a great step forward for the Club as well as an opportunity to deliver housing on this brownfield site.
The decision also completes a nice hat trick of appeal wins for Solve Planning either side of the Christmas/New Year period!
