We secured planning permission on a Green Belt site for new housing to fund an urgently required programme of restoration of the extensive range of historic buildings and historic parkland which are at the heart of the College and the Estate. Hall Place is a Grade I Listed building and the grounds of the estate are Grade II Listed with a number of Grade II listed buildings, structures and statues throughout the grounds.

The College does not have funds to secure the much needed restoration of the sensitive heritage assets here. Although the college sits within the Green Belt, we successfully argued a case for Very Special Circumstances for 26 new houses to fund this work.

As well as being approved by the Council, the application was supported by Historic England.
