Joyce Grove Estate

The main house at the Joyce Grove Estate was originally built in 1908, is Grade II Listed and set within extensive grounds.  It was formerly a house but then occupied by the Sue Ryder Hospice and as such was subject to substantial internal alteration to facilitate the hospice use.  Sue Ryder Hospice vacated the property in 2020 bringing forward the opportunity to reinstate it as residential use and bring about improvements to the buildings historic interest.

We have submitted a new planning application for the conversion of the main house and stable buildings to sensitively bring them into residential use through the creation of 23 high quality apartments.  Internal alterations are proposed in a sensitive manner to retain much of the historic fabric and character of the property as well as providing for a modest external addition to create a new stair core.  Further planning applications have also been submitted for the conversion and extension of the existing Potting Shed to provide a single dwelling and the conversion and alteration of the existing Squash Court building to provide a new dwelling.  Both buildings are set within the extensive grounds of the estate which provide an attractive and natural backdrop to the estate.
