Westbrook Mills

We have recently submitted a full planning application on behalf of Stonegate Homes for the residential redevelopment on of a previously developed Green Belt site at Westbrook Mills adjacent to Godalming (45 apartments across two buildings).  We sought early input from landscape consultants to shape the overall form of the proposals and ensure that the impact on the openness of the Green Belt is kept to a minimum and landscape and ecological improvements are an intrinsic part of the scheme.  The built form has been arranged to respond to the historic context of Westbrook Mills.   Before our involvement in the site, there was an application for a larger scale development which was refused.  This application directly responds to the earlier the reasons for refusal.
